RGPS Dallas Main Event Reaches Four-Handed Play

The RGPS Golden Expedition Dallas $600 Main Event reached four-handed play at Palace Poker, and Jeremy Marrero exited in fourth place with $31,924. The table kept flipping the chip lead among Marrero, Jason Fitzpatrick, Simon Webster and Adam Hahn on Level 33, with blinds at 600,000/1,200,000 and a 1,200,000 ante.
As covered earlier this week, the stop had already built toward its weekend finish at Palace Poker, and PokerNews’s live updates captured the late swings once the field was down to its final four. The $600 event carried a $200,000 guarantee and was part of the new RunGood season returning to the room after the Passport Season ended in March.
Marrero’s last stand came after he raised to 2.5 million under the gun and Fitzpatrick shoved from the small blind. Marrero called off 10.1 million, but Fitzpatrick improved on the flop and left him drawing dead by the turn, which sent Marrero out in fourth. Earlier in the same run, Marrero had been the one climbing when his pocket eights held against Simon Webster’s A♦J♠ on a 9♥K♦7♣6♠6♣ board, a pot that briefly took him from last place to first.
Webster answered with a double of his own. He called off his last 7.5 million in the big blind against Hahn’s button shove, stayed ahead through the runout listed in the live updates, and moved into second place. Hahn then regained some ground in a pot against Marrero, betting 1.2 million on a 6♠6♣7♦ flop with A♦2♦, calling Marrero’s 2.5 million turn bet on the 8♦, and winning after both players checked the 3♥ river.
The remaining four players then went on a 10-minute break, but the lead still had one more swing left in it. Fitzpatrick doubled before the break when he pushed 2.45 million from the small blind and got called by Hahn in the big blind, and a short time later he shoved 17.15 million from under the gun. Hahn called off 12.7 million from the button with K♣K♥ against A♦9♣, avoided an ace on the board, and moved into the lead.
