Uri Foox’s Bustout Sets Roughrider Final Table at Jackpot Junction
The $640 Main Event drew 507 entries and built a $273,780 prize pool before the last nine played for $44,600 and a WPT seat.
Uri Foox’s run in the Roughrider Poker Tour $640 Main Event ended in 10th place at Jackpot Junction Casino and Hotel, setting the final table of nine. Players were competing for a $44,600 first-place prize, a custom RPT championship bracelet, and a $10,400 WPT Main Event seat.
According to PokerNews, the tournament drew 507 entries over three days and built a $273,780 prize pool. All of that money was set to be paid out when action resumed the next day.
Foox moved all in for about 1.8 million on the button, and Rob Wazwaz reshoved from the small blind with a slight chip edge. Foox showed K♦ Q♦, Wazwaz held A♥ 8♣, and the board ran 9♦ 6♠ 2♠, then 2♣ and 9♣ to send Foox out at Level 26, with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and a 100,000 ante.
Doug McCarty finished 11th for $5,300 when Justin Deutsch called his small-blind shove, Michael Cassiday-Maloney went out 12th for $5,300, and Andre Brown took 13th for $4,400 after a preflop raising war with Terence Reid.
The event’s opening flights built the field in chunks. Day 1a drew 84 entries, while Day 1c brought 252 entries across 12 levels and produced nearly half of the total field; only 44 players advanced from that flight.
Day 1c also finished with Reid Johnson on 733,000 chips and Cody Torke on 729,000, just behind Anthony Scarborough’s 740,000-chip lead going into Day 2. Day 1a ended with Thai Dinh on 729,000, Darrin Gerr on 685,000, and Charles Kersey on 714,000.
Because multiple opening flights bagged before reaching the 15% threshold, the 86 Day 2 returnees were still not in the money when play restarted. The top 77 spots paid at least $1,000, and a final-table seat was worth $6,300.
An earlier Day 1c update described the winner’s package differently, listing $44,600 plus a WPT Wynn seat for $55,000 total. The final-table report, though, listed the seat as a $10,400 WPT Main Event entry.
