PokerStars on FanDuel Ontario Dynasty Series Opens With Split Event Count
Some reports list 60 events and others 61, but the festival runs through Sept. 28 and ends with main events on Sept. 27
PokerStars on FanDuel’s Ontario Dynasty Series opened on Sept. 12 and is set to run through Sept. 28. Coverage of the Ontario slate is split, with Bonus.com and PokerNews putting it at 60 events and Pokerfuse and F5 Poker counting 61.
As reported on Sept. 3, PokerStars on FanDuel had already unveiled the broader September Dynasty Series across its U.S. and Ontario sites. The Ontario launch also comes just after the free Summer Sendoff Freeroll Festival, which ran Sept. 4-13 with 10 events and C$10,000 in prizes for a 1-cent buy-in.
The Ontario series starts with the $50 No-Limit Hold’em Nightly Dynasty. PokerNews said the opening weekend has eight tournaments in all, and the biggest event in that stretch is the two-day $500 NLHE Storm beginning on Sept. 13.
Buy-ins on the Ontario schedule run from C$30 to C$1,500, and the lineup is NLHE-only. Pokerfuse said the mix includes regular events, PKOs and mystery bounties, while also noting that mixed games have not shown up on the new PokerStars on FanDuel platform.
The closing stretch is anchored by the $300 Dynasty Series Main Event and the $50 Mini Main Event. Bonus.com described the Ontario festival as one of the larger scheduled tournament offerings yet under the PokerStars on FanDuel brand in the province, while F5 Poker said no series-wide Ontario guarantee has been announced. Both marquee tournaments are set for Sept. 27.
