Martin Zamani Wins Two ACR Phil’s Thrill Titles in Nine Minutes
The $10,300 main-event victory and $2,650 PLO win paid more than $160,000 combined on the same Sunday.
Martin Zamani turned one ACR Poker Sunday into two Phil’s Thrill titles, winning the $10,300 main event and the $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO 6-Max nine minutes later on Sept. 13. The pair of victories paid more than $160,000 combined.
His larger score came in the $10,300 Phil’s Thrill, where he earned $122,500 after beating Linus “borntotilt” Loeliger heads-up. The tournament drew 35 entries, representing 27 players, and created a $350,000 prize pool; only five places paid.
As reported in our Sept. 13 coverage, the win was Zamani’s first Phil’s Thrill title. He summed up the session on X with a short post: “Hot day in the ACR Poker streets.”
Nine minutes after closing out the main event, Zamani won the $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO 6-Max for another $38,500. The Pot-Limit Omaha event drew 55 entries from 38 players and paid out $137,500. PokerListings reported that Zamani used two entries to reach the top spot in the Mini.
The two events run as weekly Sunday fixtures on ACR Poker. Phil’s Thrill begins at 2:30 p.m. ET and carries a $10,300 buy-in, while the Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO begins at 3:30 p.m. ET for $2,650, except on Sundays with a Venom Day 1 flight scheduled. ACR describes Phil’s Thrill as its biggest weekly tournament and says it was named after WPN CEO Phil Nagy.
PokerListings characterized the results as a recovery from a slight summer dip for Zamani, putting his SharkScope profit above $379,000. The outlet also described the scores as a bankroll boost before ACR’s OSS XL Nosebleed tournaments, which run Sept. 21-28 with buy-ins ranging from $5,200 to $25,500.
