Paddy Power Poker Opens €0.50 Path to €500,000 iPOPS Main Event
A three-step satellite ladder feeds a €50 deadline qualifier that guarantees 50 seats on Sept. 27.
Paddy Power Poker is offering a route into the €500,000-guaranteed iPOPS Main Event for as little as €0.50, with the No-Limit Hold’em tournament set to begin at 4 p.m. BST on Sept. 27.
The €500 Main Event is the 147th numbered tournament of the iPOPS series. Players who buy in directly or qualify through a satellite receive 100,000 chips, so satellite winners are not playing a reduced-stack version of the event.
The feeder structure starts with €0.50 satellites that award €5 tickets. Those €5 events feed €50 satellites, while daily €50 qualifiers guarantee at least two €500 Main Event tickets each.
A larger €50 deadline Mega Satellite begins at 3 p.m. BST on Sept. 27, one hour before the Main Event. It guarantees 50 seats, equivalent to €25,000 in Main Event entries.
The Main Event’s €500 entry comprises €470 plus €30. That means 1,063 entries are needed to cover the €500,000 guarantee through buy-ins alone. PokerNews recorded 81 registrations at the time of its report.
Play uses 15-minute levels and begins at blinds of 200/400 with a 75 ante. Late registration remains available for 20 levels, or five hours, and is expected to close around 9 p.m. BST. Blinds at that point are 5,000/10,000/1,000a, rising to 6,000/12,000/1,200a after registration shuts.
Players can enter up to 20 times.
