888poker’s WSOP Docuseries Reaches Its Penultimate Chapter
Part 5 tracks Barone and Navarro through the bubble as the finale nears.
888poker released Part 5 of its 2026 WSOP docuseries, the penultimate chapter in the run, and the episode follows Aaron Barone and Lucia Navarro through the Main Event money bubble.
As covered in late August, the series had already carried Team888 through the early Main Event days and a quiet break before returning to tournament play. In this chapter, Barone and Navarro are the only two 888poker team members who moved on from Day 2 and stayed alive for a shot at poker’s world title.
PokerNews reported that Barone opened Day 3 with 237,000 chips on Table 167, while Navarro began with 130,000 on Table 533. At their respective tables, only Mrityunjay Jha and Abelardo Palomares had more chips than Barone, while Shawn Daniels and Daniel Brunnmayr were ahead of Navarro.
The episode also leans into the bubble pressure itself. 888poker’s magazine describes the money bubble as a psychological phase in tournament play, where players with bigger stacks can pressure shorter stacks into folding and locking up a cash.
By the end of Day 3, Barone had 524,000 chips and Navarro had 314,000, with seven more eliminations still needed before the pair would be in the money. The video then moves to the stone bubble, where only one more bustout was needed before the field reached the payouts.
From there, the bubble broke on an ace-king versus pocket fives coinflip. Navarro’s run ended on Day 4 when her pocket nines ran into king-queen of clubs, which improved to a flush on the river after a queen hit the flop.
Navarro finished 1,007th for $17,500. Barone advanced with 785,000 chips, after the episode showed him using his covering stack to lean on opponents around the bubble, before that edge was blunted by a huge stack on his right.
After the day was done, Barone said he hoped to get a couple of ladders and maybe make Day 6, which was the whole goal for the next step of the run. The final episode will be released on Sept. 11.
