PokerStars’ $25 Million Guaranteed Turbo Series to Feature New Formats

PokerStars' fast-paced tournament festival Turbo Series is making a return this month with another $25 million in guaranteed prize money.

134 turbo and hyper-turbo events are scheduled over a span of two weeks starting February 21.

The series culminates in two Main Events with combined guarantees of $3 million. These are scheduled to run on March 7 featuring buy-ins of $55 and $1050 guaranteeing $1 million and $2 million respectively.

For the first time, the series will feature new events including short-stacked Progressive Knockouts with 15 big blinds starting stack, Time Knockout tournaments, and 7-handed freezeouts.

To help players qualify for the Turbo Series events, the operator will be running Fast Track satellites as well as a special edition $4 Spin & Go’s.

The series comes on the heels of the 50/50 series that concluded last Sunday. A total of 50 events were scheduled each featuring $50 buy-in. The Main Event boasting $1 million in guaranteed prize money attracted over 28,000 entries to build a prize pool of nearly $1.3 million.

Ahead of the Turbo Series, the operator will be running a four-day-long MicroMillions Marathons – a micro stakes series featuring over 100 tournaments including a $1 million guaranteed Main Event.
