Anthony Scarborough Leads 86 Into Roughrider Poker Tour Finale
The $640 Main Event drew 507 entries and set up a $44,600 top prize, plus a WPT Main Event seat, as the field returns near the money bubble.
Championship Sunday opened with 86 players still alive in the Roughrider Poker Tour $640 Main Event at Jackpot Junction Casino and Hotel just outside Minneapolis. The three-day tournament drew 507 entries and built a $273,780 prize pool.
All of that money is due to be paid out as play resumes at 11 a.m. local time. The 86 survivors are eight eliminations away from the money, with only the top 77 finishing in the payouts and earning at least $1,000.
Anthony Scarborough leads the way with 740,000 chips. Reid Johnson sits right behind on 733,000, while Cody Torke and Thai Dinh both bagged 729,000. Charles Kersey rounds out the top five with 714,000.
The final table is worth $6,300, while the eventual champion will collect $44,600, a custom-made RPT championship bracelet and a seat in the WPT Main Event worth $10,400. The earlier event preview had described the added seat differently, calling it a $10,000 WPT Wynn Main Event ticket.
Play restarts with 21 minutes left in Level 16 at blinds of 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante. The day uses 40-minute levels, with breaks every two hours and a dinner break to be confirmed later.
The schedule also includes a $250 Trophy Event Second Chance tournament starting at noon local time, with late registration open until 3:30 p.m.
