Second Annual Aces for Autism Poker Tournament Set for Sept. 16
The Miramar Beach fundraiser will support Advanced Sacred Hope Academy, which is moving to a larger campus this fall and seeking help for adaptive learning spaces.
The second annual Aces for Autism Poker Tournament is set for Sept. 16 at Drive the Coast in Miramar Beach. The fundraiser will benefit Advanced Sacred Hope Academy, and it is being billed as a full day of raffles, poker, great food and community.
WKRG News 5 interviewed CEO and founder Julie Webb and community engagement officer Lauren Ewashko about the inspiration behind the event and the school’s mission.
According to Mid Bay News, Advanced Sacred Hope Academy is moving to a larger campus at 106 Racetrack Rd NE this fall. The school began in 2018 with seven students and had 75 students registered for the 2025-2026 school year, which the report said reflected growing demand for specialized education.
The new facility includes adaptive classrooms and dedicated therapy spaces. Plans also call for a sensory-friendly playground designed to support the specific learning and social needs of neurodiverse students.
The school is seeking Classroom and Playground Sponsors to support those adaptive spaces. Sponsorships include naming rights, recognition on campus and visibility at ASHA community events.
Robert Hruska, ASHA’s director of operations, said community support has been “the backbone” of the school’s growth. He added that the next chapter is about building more than a school and creating a comprehensive environment where students can grow, learn and develop skills for meaningful engagement in their families, communities and future workplaces.
Its move to the larger campus at 106 Racetrack Rd NE is set for this fall.
