RGPS Dallas Main Event Adds Three More Flights Today

Mauricio Miranda leads on 992,000 chips after Day 1a, with 24 players already bagged for Day 2

The RGPS Golden Expedition Dallas $600 Main Event at Palace Poker is moving into its next wave today, with three more starting flights on the schedule after an opening day that drew nearly 200 entries across the first two flights. The tournament already has 24 players bagged for Day 2, and the field is still building toward the weekend finish.

According to PokerNews, Mauricio Miranda still sits in the early lead after winning Day 1a with 992,000 chips. He got there by bursting the bubble and closing out the night with the final pot, while Zachary Baron is right behind him with 974,000 after also making a deep run.

Day 1c begins at 11 a.m. local time, Day 1d starts at 5 p.m., and the turbo Day 1e is set for 10 p.m. All three flights begin with 60,000 chips, 100/200 blinds, and a 200 big blind ante. The first two flights use 30-minute levels, while the turbo flight runs 15-minute levels until only 12.5% of the field remains.

Registration stays open until the start of Level 9, and players can reenter as many times as they want before that cutoff. If a player bags more than once, the biggest stack carries forward to Day 2 and any extra bag is paid at the minimum Day 2 payout.

The Main Event carries a $200,000 guarantee and is part of the RunGood Poker Series’ Golden Expedition stop at Palace Poker, which runs from Aug. 13-23. The series returns to the club after the Passport Season stop there ended in March, and the Main Event is set to keep running through Saturday before survivors combine the following day to play for the title and the first Main Event ring of the new season.
