Michael Addamo Wins GGMillion$ on Online Return
PokerNews and GGPoker called it his ninth title, while PokerListings logged it as his eighth.
Michael Addamo returned to GGPoker’s $10,000 GGMillion$ High Roller and turned it into $423,610. PokerNews and GGPoker both called it his ninth GGMillion$ title, and both noted that he beat Pedro Neves heads-up.
The final table opened with Neves holding a slight chip lead over Guillaume Nolet, with all the other remaining players facing a sizeable deficit. GGPoker’s blog said the table opened cautiously, with nobody below 20 big blinds, and that Neves led on 105 big blinds, Guillaume Nolet sat on 103, and Addamo came in on 28 with 11.52 odds in the client. PokerListings said the event drew 216 entries.
As covered in July, Artem Osmirko had won the previous GGMillion$ title. The final-table livestream had Lucas Jumalon and Jeff Gross in the commentary box, and Gross said the table mixed “new names and old school legends.”
Addamo then worked through the field. PokerNews said he eliminated seven of his final eight opponents, starting with Nguyen Vi in ninth for $52,951 and Aliaksandr Shylko in eighth for $68,669. A pocket kings hand against Nolet pushed Addamo close to the lead, and he still had more than half the chips in play after Nolet later doubled through him in four-handed play.
The last stretch belonged to Addamo too. Xuanyi Wang went out three-handed after failing to improve against Addamo’s KJ, and Neves entered heads-up in a deep hole before briefly doubling. In PokerNews’ account, the finish came when Neves limped the button with A♥Q♠, Addamo shoved 8♣7♣, and the river paired Addamo to end it, leaving Neves second for $326,647. PokerListings, however, described the result as Addamo’s eighth GGMillion$ win and said his previous victory came in April 2024.
