GucciNIKE Takes About $850,000 From Bleznick in CoinPoker PLO Session
The near-400-hand match at $500-$1,000 added to a Friday worth more than $1.4 million for GucciNIKE.
GucciNIKE won about $850,000 from Jared “Theblez” Bleznick in an almost 400-hand CoinPoker pot-limit Omaha session, according to CardPlayer. The match ran across three $500-$1,000 tables with a $200 ante, and helped push GucciNIKE’s combined winnings from that Friday’s other matches beyond $1.4 million.
The result was a much larger swing than the pair’s previous reported meeting. As we reported earlier this month, GucciNIKE finished about $166,000 ahead of Bleznick in their Sept. 11 CoinPoker session, despite Bleznick taking one $341,946 pot with quads and GucciNIKE winning a $478,400 all-in with trips.
One of the bigger pots in the latest session began with GucciNIKE raising and calling a three-bet to $9,000 while both players had stacks a little deeper than 100 big blinds. On an A♠9♠6♥ flop, Bleznick bet $13,800 and GucciNIKE min-raised to $27,600.
Bleznick then shoved for $98,400 and GucciNIKE called with K♥9♥9♣4♥, middle set plus a backdoor heart draw. Bleznick held A♦K♦K♠7♠ for top pair and the nut-flush draw. GucciNIKE won the $215,200 pot after the 7♦ turn and J♦ river.
GucciNIKE’s preflop decision was routine for the stack depth. The flop min-raise was a way to build a pot with a strong hand while leaving Bleznick an inviting price to continue or bluff; Bleznick’s eventual all-in was strong enough to commit with, but a cooler against the set.
GucciNIKE also collected a $120,000 pot after calling Bleznick’s $3,000 open about 120 blinds deep. After the players checked the flop, GucciNIKE bet $4,800 on the turn and was called. GucciNIKE checked the river, then raised Bleznick’s $12,000 bet to $52,000 and was called.
GucciNIKE showed 9♣8♦4♣4♥ for the nuts. The turn lead could draw value from worse holdings, while the river made GucciNIKE a full house and completed a flush, setting up the check-raise.
The heads-up action comes amid a broader revival of high-stakes CoinPoker cash games, according to PokerStrategy.com. The roundup said seven-figure wins and losses were being fought for weekly in the site’s VIP Arena, with the largest pots concentrated in PLO, and put GucciNIKE’s profit at almost $1.3 million over the preceding seven days.
