FanDuel Poker Confirms September Series Plans
A leaderboard is coming, but the schedule, name and guarantees are still hidden.
FanDuel Poker has confirmed it will run a major tournament series in September, but the operator is still keeping the basics under wraps. The name, number of events, overall guarantee and exact dates have not been announced yet, and the company says a tournament leaderboard will be part of the festival.
A company representative confirmed on the official US Poker Discord server that a “September Series Schedule” is being prepared, and more details are expected later this month. The confirmation matters because this would only be the second major series FanDuel Poker has staged since taking over the PokerStars US operation.
The first was the Ignite Series, an ambitious $5 million festival. It ran for 90 tournaments over three weeks and finished with a $500,000 guaranteed Main Event.
That launch also came with a heavy amount of overlay. Poker Industry PRO calculations cited by Pokerfuse put the total overlay at $1,063,762, meaning the operator had to cover more than $1 million in shortfalls from its own funds. The outlet said that made the series player-friendly, because the missed guarantees effectively added money to prize pools without raising entry costs.
It is not clear whether FanDuel and PokerStars will use a similar guarantees strategy in September. For now, the only confirmed addition is the leaderboard, alongside a schedule that is still being built.
The September festival comes after a broader reset for PokerStars on FanDuel in the US. In April, FanDuel announced that PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel had launched in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with player liquidity merged across those markets and a wider slate of tournaments and cash games.
By April 2026, Bettors Insider reported that migration was complete and the three states were running in a single shared liquidity network. PokerStars has traditionally built its major tournament calendar around COOP branding, which has long been used for major series internationally, including SCOOP and WCOOP, and in US market-specific versions such as USCOOP, NJCOOP, PACOOP and MICOOP.
On PokerStars on FanDuel, the inaugural festival used the Ignite name instead of a COOP label, and the aggressive guarantee was seen as a way to establish a separate identity.
