Nicolette Shea lost a $60,100 pot on Hustler Casino Live after celebrating a flopped set of tens before the hand was complete, only for “AI Guy” to hit the lone remaining queen on the river. Shea left the $100/$200 cash game immediately afterward and ended the session down just shy of $30,000.
Card Player reported that Mariano Grandoli opened to $2,000 from the hijack with A-diamond Q-diamond while a straddle was in play. Shea moved all in for $19,500 on the button holding 10-heart 10-diamond, and AI Guy called from the small blind with Q-heart Q-club. Grandoli also called, covering Shea.
The J-spade 10-club 3-heart flop gave Shea a set. With further flop action still pending, she celebrated, prompting commentator David Tuchman to say, “Oh my god. You can’t do that.” Shea replied to a producer away from the table: “I can cheer for myself.”
AI Guy then bet, while Grandoli folded after Shea’s reaction had made her hand strength apparent. AI Guy acknowledged, “I’m obviously losing,” and said he did not want to run the hand twice if Shea held a set. Grandoli’s fold of the Q-diamond reduced AI Guy’s possible winning cards from two queens to one.
The 7-diamond turn kept Shea ahead in the $60,100 pot. But the Q-spade arrived on the river, giving AI Guy the case queen and a higher set. Tuchman called it “The case queen!” and described the outcome as poker karma.
Highroll Poker’s livestream tracker lists Shea’s first recorded session as Sept. 4 and shows seven recorded episodes totaling 28 hours. It puts her recorded livestream results at a net loss of $37,010, while cautioning that the figures exclude off-stream action and are not a complete measure of lifetime cash-game results.
The session’s biggest winner was a player known as Dumbledore, who finished up $389,200. Hustler Casino Live is an unscripted, unedited cash-game show produced in the high-limit Crystal Room at Hustler Casino in Gardena, California, where Tuchman is among its guest commentators.
