WSOP Paradise Adds $250,000 Pro-Am Bracelet Event
Pros can buy in directly, while amateurs must clear a WSOP committee before the separate fields merge in the money.
WSOP Paradise will feature a $250,000 buy-in Pro-Am bracelet tournament in the Bahamas this December, with professional players and approved amateurs starting in separate fields before meeting later in the event.
The three-day tournament pays a WSOP gold bracelet to its winner. Once the event reaches the money, the two fields combine and play down normally to a champion.
Professionals can register on their own, without an invitation. Amateurs face a different entry route: they must submit an application for approval by a WSOP Pro-Am committee, which will assess each applicant individually.
The setup differs from Triton Poker’s Invitational model, where pros must be invited by an amateur. PokerNews noted that Triton staged a $250,000 Invitational at WSOP Paradise last year, won by Kayhan Mokri for about $7.7 million.
As covered in August, the original WSOP Paradise schedule listed 20 bracelet events and $120 million in guaranteed prize pools. PokerNews now describes the festival schedule as containing 21 bracelet events including the Pro-Am, while WSOP’s official schedule release still lists 20, leaving the published event count inconsistent.
WSOP Paradise runs Dec. 2-17 at Baha Mar Hotel & Resort. Its $26,000 Super Main Event carries a $50 million guarantee, and WSOP has positioned the Bahamas stop as the event that decides the 2026 Player of the Year race.
