Bin Weng Returns to Borgata After Seven-Month Health Break
He reached the Super Deep 6-Max final table and said he plans to play less, spend more time with family and stick to live poker.
Bin Weng was back in live tournament action at the Borgata Summer Poker Open after about seven months away from the tables because of health complications. He had already made a deep run in Event #11, the $650 Super Deep 6-Max.
According to PokerNews, the event drew 401 entries and built a $228,570 prize pool. Day 2 began with 65 players in the money, a minimum cash of $1,120 and $41,150 reserved for the winner.
When PokerNews caught up with Weng, he was among the final three tables. He later advanced to the final table with 1,930,000 in chips, and the official final table was set after Christopher Ackerman went out in seventh.
The final table resumed Friday at noon in the live-stream area inside the Borgata Poker Room. Action was shown live on the BetMGM Poker YouTube channel with roughly a 30-minute delay.
Weng said he was fine now and described the issue as a little medical problem from seven or eight months earlier. He said years of constant travel, too much poker, poor eating and not enough exercise probably caught up with him.
He also said his plan is to play a little less than before and spend more time with his kids and family. Even so, he said he loves competing, feels he can still play and prefers live poker to online.
Borgata remains his home casino, he said, and because he lives in Pennsylvania the drive is only about an hour, which makes the trip feel like a little vacation. His live cashes had topped $6.66 million in 2023, then fell to $519,146 in 2024 and $945,780 in 2025.
