Scott Margereson won the €2,700 EPT Second Chance at EPT Barcelona, beating Natasha Mercier heads-up to take the trophy and €361,060. The event drew 844 entries and built a €2,046,700 prize pool.
The Barcelona festival wrapped its final day of side-event action by crowning six champions, according to SpadePoker, with Margereson among them. PokerNews’ event page matched the result and listed Mercier as the runner-up for €225,580, with Cherish Andrews third for €161,140.
The payout ladder continued with Julien Thome fourth for €123,940, Sanjaya Wadhwani fifth for €95,360 and Cristinel Dumitru sixth for €73,360. Fabio Peluso took seventh for €56,400, and Maciej Komorowski finished eighth for €43,400.
The event paid the top 127 finishers. Maksim Panyak’s ninth-place run earned €33,380.
The victory also pushed Margereson through $5 million in live tournament earnings, PokerNews said. The same report noted that he is known online as “Aggro Santos” and that the Barcelona score was his third-largest live cash, behind only his 2018 $3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown win for $696,740 and his 2025 PokerStars Open Malta title for €423,700.
