888poker Brings Back Sit-And-Gos for One Weekend
The short-run promo pairs six-handed and heads-up NLHE sit-and-gos with 50% fee cuts, while Summer Fest freerolls add another path to London packages.
888poker brought back traditional sit-and-go tournaments for one weekend only, with the Sit & Go Weekend running July 24-26 in the poker room lobby. The short promo revives a format that once sat near the center of online poker lobbies.
According to PokerNews, the lobby path is straightforward. Sit & Go appears at the bottom under Mystery Bounty on the left-hand side, and clicking it opens a dedicated Sit & Go Weekend SNG lobby.
From there, players can enter six-handed and heads-up No-Limit Hold’em sit-and-gos. The offered buy-ins are $1.05, $2.10, $5.25 and $10.50, and 888poker is cutting tournament fees by 50% for both formats.
The payout structure differs by format. Heads-up games are winner-take-all, while six-handed tournaments pay the top two finishers, with 65% of the prize pool going to first and 35% to second.
The revival is aimed at players who used to grind traditional sit-and-gos online. PokerNews said the format fell out of favor when jackpot sit-and-gos took over and many operators either reduced their SNG offerings or dropped them altogether.
The weekend offer also sits alongside 888poker Summer Fest Freerolls, which run from July 20 through August 16. Players can earn a weekly freeroll ticket by completing one of the listed challenges, and the top 100 finishers in each freeroll advance to an exclusive London Live Event freeroll.
That London freeroll awards four 888poker LIVE London packages worth $2,500 each. The 2026 edition of 888poker LIVE London is set for October 8-18 at Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London, although the schedule is still being finalized.
The same article pointed to last September’s £1,250 888poker LIVE Main Event as a size check on the series. It drew 367 entries, built a £383,500 prize pool, and saw Gang Wang beat Calogero Morreale heads-up for £86,600, with Morreale taking £57,200.
