PokerNews Adds Second PGT Championship Seat to RunGood Dream Factory
The Winner’s Circle now joins the Dream Seat Invitational in sending a ring winner to the January 2027 PGT Championship.
PokerNews has added a second PGT Championship seat to the RunGood Dream Factory Festival at Thunder Valley Casino Resort, giving RunGood ring winners two separate routes into the January 2027 championship. The added seat goes to the winner of the RunGood Winner’s Circle, while the RunGood Dream Seat Invitational will award its champion a PGT Championship seat.
The two $300 invitationals are reserved for players who won an official RGPS Championship Ring in the 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 seasons. Each tournament will also award its runner-up a $600 Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship seat and third place a $400 PokerNews Cup seat.
As we reported in August, the fall PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard also sends its top 10 players to Thunder Valley with entry to the Dream Seat Invitational, a $300 travel stipend and a two-night hotel stay. Players earn the leaderboard points in eligible PowerStack events across the fall RGPS schedule.
The inaugural PowerStack leaderboard sent 11 players to Thunder Valley for the $1,200 Million Dollar Main Event at the RGPS Passport Season Finale. This time, a player who reaches the top 10 and wins the Dream Seat Invitational can continue through the RGPS route to a PGT Championship seat.
Dream Factory runs Nov. 27 through Dec. 3 at Thunder Valley in Lincoln, California. The Winner’s Circle is set for Dec. 1 and the Dream Seat Invitational follows on Dec. 2, putting the two PGT-seat events on consecutive days.
PokerNews lists the Winner’s Circle start time as 11 a.m., while RunGood’s event announcement lists noon. Every Winner’s Circle participant also has a chance to be selected for the “Compete for the Seat” gameshow during the evening player party at Illusions Bar, where $6,000 in prizes is available.
PokerNews will provide live updates from both invitationals. The resulting PGT Championship seats lead to the January 2027 event at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
