RunGood Brings $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event to Ohio

The Golden Expedition stop at Lake Erie Poker Room has nine ring events and five Main Event starting flights.

RunGood Poker Series will bring its Golden Expedition to Lake Erie Poker Room in Elyria, Ohio, from Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. The stop has nine ring events across six days and is built around a $600 Main Event with a $200,000 guarantee.

The Main Event begins with Flight A on Oct. 1, followed by four more starting flights across Oct. 2 and Oct. 3. Day 2 and the final table are set for Oct. 4, when the series also closes with a $200 Ladies Ring Event. PokerNews will be on site for live Main Event coverage.

Lake Erie Poker Room’s September tournament calendar calls the festival a return to Northeast Ohio and confirms the Main Event’s five-flight format. The schedule opens Sept. 28 with $300 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em and $300 Omaha 8 ring events, plus Day 1A of an on-demand $100 Flip & Go.

The $400 PokerNews PowerStack starts Sept. 30 with two flights, carries a $30,000 guarantee and plays to a winner on Oct. 1. Other ring-event options include a $300 Tag Team event and a $300 Black Chip Bounty event, with the bounty scheduled for Oct. 4.

This will be RunGood’s first Ohio visit since the 2024 RGPS RunGood Resort Cleveland stop. That $1,000 Main Event drew 223 entries and generated a prize pool of about $475,000. Dane Miller beat Thomas Gray heads-up for $98,607 after describing his run as “a bit of a sun-run.”

Andrew Manchen finished third in that Cleveland Main Event for $44,080, Kyle Grupp took fourth for $32,825, and Katie Kopp placed fifth for $24,850. After Elyria, RunGood is scheduled to move on to Hollywood St. Louis in Missouri for an Oct. 6-11 stop featuring another $200,000-guaranteed Main Event.
