RunGood Sets Kentucky Golden Expedition at the Barrel Social Club
The Franklin stop runs Sept. 1-7 with 11 ring events, a $250,000 Main Event guarantee and a club-based entry model.
RunGood Poker Series is taking its Golden Expedition to The Barrel Social Club in Franklin, Kentucky, from Sept. 1-7. The seven-day stop has 11 ring events, and the $800 Main Event carries a $250,000 guarantee.
The series lands in Kentucky’s social-club poker model rather than a traditional casino room. PokerNews reported that players have to join the club before entering an RGPS event, and that daily membership can be as little as $10.
RunGood’s schedule page shows a busy opening stretch. Sept. 1 starts with a $300 Seniors event, a $300 Series Opener, a $200 Guest Bounty with mystery prizes including up to $1,000 cash, and an on-demand $100 Flip and Go.
The next wave centers on the $400 PokerNews PowerStack, which has two flights on Sept. 2 and a $30,000 guarantee before restarting on Sept. 3. That same day also brings a $300 one-day NLH event, a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha ring event with a $25,000 guarantee, and a $200 Turbo Main Event satellite.
The Main Event flights run Sept. 4-6, with two starting flights each day and a $250,000 guarantee attached to every flight. The final day on Sept. 7 adds the Day 2 restart, a $400 Labor Day Black Chip Bounty, and a $400 Last Chance event, with the Main Event final table set for that day.
The Barrel’s own tournament page says the festival carries more than $300,000 in guaranteed prize pools. Its membership page lists day passes at $10, monthly memberships at $60, annual memberships at $500, and says every person on site needs an active membership. PokerNews said it will provide live reporting throughout the Main Event from The Barrel Social Club.
