Joao Hayashi Wins First WSOP Bracelet, Giving Brazil a Third Title
The Brazilian topped a 1,022-entry continental field in Event #15 for $164,990 and a $30,000 Super Pass to WSOP Paradise.
Joao Hayashi won his first WSOP bracelet in Event #15, the $1,000 Rounder Cup Battle of the Continents at WSOP Online 2026 on GGPoker. According to PokerNews, he outlasted a 1,022-entry field for $164,990 and a $30,000 Super Pass into the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. Bettingnews also reported that it was Hayashi’s first WSOP title.
As reported when Raphael Caixeta opened the series and Lucas Teixeira Rodrigues followed one event later, Brazil had already built a strong early run. Hayashi’s win made him the country’s third WSOP Online titlist through the first 15 completed events, with Brazilians now on three wins, three runner-up finishes and four third places.
Event #15 used a continent-flavoured format. The opening day was split into four flights limited to Asia, Eurasia, Europe and the Americas, and the survivors combined on Day 2 to decide both the champion and which continent shone brightest. Each of the nine finalists was guaranteed at least $20,623 from the $970,900 prize pool, and Hayashi represented the Americas bracket.
The final table started with Israel’s Ravid Garbi busting in ninth for $20,623, then Mongolia’s Sanchuu5527 for $26,745 and Christian Rudolph for $34,684. Atzamot and flyingcowkiss followed, Regis “AnimalRaro” Cardoso finished fourth for $75,648, and Diego Zeiter took third for $98,103.
Heads-up, Hayashi beat Luxembourg’s sensor77, who collected $127,224. Pokertube said the broader WSOP Online series has run on GGPoker since 2020, after the pandemic canceled the live summer series in Las Vegas, and that Caesars sold the WSOP brand to NSUS Group in 2024 for $500 million. The 2026 schedule has 33 bracelet events and runs through Sept. 29, with every winner getting the same $30,000 Super Pass.
