Could PA, CT, or WV Be Next to Join Interstate Online Poker?

MI, NV, DE, & NJ are now all part of a compact that allows operators to merge player pools across state lines. Who's going to jump in next?

Michigan is in the process of joining the agreement that allows operators to combine their online poker player pools across state lines.

The Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement aka MSIGA currently comprises:

  • Delaware
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • Michigan (pending)

Now that Michigan is just waiting to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, industry experts are already talking about who could be next and all eyes are turning to:

  • Pennsylvania
  • Connecticut
  • West Virginia

All three have legal online poker, but only one has actually attracted operators — namely, Pennsylvania.

At the time of writing, none of these states have started proceedings to join the MSIGA though West Virginia did tell pokerfuse that they are considering it, but Michigan joining could prompt them to seriously reconsider.
