Lucid Poker has launched Cardle, a free daily poker quiz that can be played in a browser at cardle.poker without an account or app download.
PR Newswire reported that every Cardle hand is selected and built by founder Doug Polk. The spots cover bluffs, apparent bluffs that should be checked, value-betting sizes and other decision types.
Players receive a short explanation after each hand. That breakdown presents both the raw solver output and Polk’s recommendation, pairing the theoretical result with a practical answer.
Cardle sits alongside Lucid Poker’s mobile-first training app, which is built for new and experienced players. The company said more than 10,000 players were training on the app when Cardle reached the web, and that nearly 1,000 Daily Cardles were already available.
Polk’s preparation for his heads-up High Stakes Feud against Daniel Negreanu is part of the product’s pitch. He finished about $1.2 million ahead in a match that ran for more than 25,000 hands of $200/$400 no-limit hold’em over more than three months, from late 2020 to February 2021.
Lucid offers a free Basic tier and a 14-day Pro trial. Lucid Pro costs $49 a month or $490 a year, while the wider platform is available on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows.
The company’s roadmap includes deeper simulation tools, more game formats and Blitz Poker, described as a quick, gamified poker-learning mode with power-ups.
