Joey Weissman won Event #3 of the 2026 Poker Masters, a $10,500 no-limit hold’em tournament, for $218,400. The win was his fifth PokerGO Tour title and came shortly after he secured his second World Series of Poker bracelet in an online event.

The tournament drew 78 entries and created a $780,000 prize pool. Daniyal Gheba finished second for $140,400, while Shannon Shorr took third place and $101,400. Final-table play ran Oct. 14-15 and also included Jeremy Ausmus, Brock Wilson and Dylan Linde.

Ausmus started the day with the chip lead, but was eliminated first in less than two hours. Gheba, who began among the short stacks, then knocked out Linde and Wilson and built a commanding lead entering three-handed play.

Weissman turned the match after roughly 45 minutes of three-handed action. His pocket queens doubled through Gheba’s pocket sevens, giving him the lead; he then called Shorr’s 1.425 million-chip all-in with ace-nine against queen-nine to eliminate Shorr.

Weissman began heads-up play holding nearly all the chips. In the first hand, Gheba called off 1.125 million with queen-three after Weissman moved all-in with queen-eight; a river card gave Weissman a full house to end the tournament.

The victory was Weissman’s second cash of the series and put him on 241 Poker Masters Purple Jacket points, second only to Myles Mullaly. Nick Palma stood close behind on 235 points after winning Event #2, while Gheba and Adrian Mateos were also among the top five following runner-up finishes.

Weissman had entered the event with four PokerGO Tour trophies, including the 2022 $3,500 BetMGM Poker Championship at the PokerGO Studio. He called the studio “my favorite place to play in the world” and told PokerNews that “variance comes in waves and you got to be ready to take advantage of it when it comes.”
