WPT Global has opened an Asia-only leaderboard race that will award 30 packages for WPT Prime Taiwan, giving eligible online players a route into the January 2027 festival in Taipei. The Asia MTT Super Package Leaderboard runs from Oct. 19 through Dec. 20 and is restricted to accounts registered in Asia.

Each of the 30 prizes is valued at $1,600. It includes a $1,100 entry to the WPT Prime Taiwan Main Event and $500 credited to the winner’s WPT Global account for travel and accommodation.

The promotion sits alongside nine weekly Asia MTT leaderboards, according to PokerNews. Each week awards $10,000 in WPT Prime Taiwan satellite tickets: the top 91 finishers receive a $110 ticket for an online qualifier, while the top 100 also collect points toward the larger Super Package Leaderboard.

Players accumulate points through eligible WPT Global tournaments. WPT Global’s promotion page says weekly rankings are affected by Early Bird and Collected Prize points, and that the weekly contest is open to both new and existing customers in Asia.

Package winners, along with players who secure a $1,100 seat through WPT Global satellites, qualify for Black Card benefits. WPT Global advertises $20,000 in additional Black Card benefits for satellite winners. PokerNews lists $17,500 in Last Longer prizes, bubble protection and an iPhone reward for eligible players who finish in the top 18 of the Main Event among the perks.

The live festival runs Jan. 2-11 at CTP’s Asia Poker Arena in Taipei’s Zhongshan District. Its WPT Prime Taiwan Championship is scheduled for Jan. 7-11, carrying a TWD 35,000, or about $1,100, buy-in and a TWD 30 million, or about $1 million, guarantee.

WPT Global is sponsoring the festival, which is presented by PokerTalk. WPT Global has also said it will offer online satellites at multiple buy-in levels, including lower-cost qualifiers capable of awarding live packages.

The event returns after its 2024 Championship drew 1,666 entries, a WPT Prime Championship record outside Las Vegas at the time. Hyundong Lee won the 2025 WPT Prime Taiwan Main Event from a 1,470-player field, earning the equivalent of about $213,000 and a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.
