Felipe Boianovsky Becomes First to Win Both $10K SCOOP and WCOOP Main Events
The Brazilian collected $551,632 after eliminating every remaining player from the final seven in WCOOP’s 289-entry championship.
Felipe “lipe piv” Boianovsky won the $10,300 WCOOP No-Limit Hold’em Main Event on Sept. 30, earning $551,632 and becoming the first player to win the $10K Main Event at both WCOOP and SCOOP.
The Brazilian’s earlier victory came in the 2023 SCOOP $10,300 Main Event, which paid about $1.04 million. That event drew 587 entries and built a $5.87 million prize pool. Boianovsky beat Laszlo “omaha4rollz” Bujtas heads-up to claim that title.
The WCOOP win was Boianovsky’s second title in the festival. The $10,300 event attracted 289 entries and produced a prize pool of about $2.9 million, roughly $390,000 above its guarantee. Each of the nine final-table players was assured at least $62,089.
Boianovsky came into the nine-handed final table as a middle stack, but took over after the first two eliminations. He knocked out every remaining player from the final seven, then started heads-up play against Canada’s Santiago “13santoy13” Plante with about a five-to-one chip lead.
On the final hand, Boianovsky held pocket kings and improved to three of a kind on the turn, leaving Plante drawing dead. The result completed a rare double in PokerStars’ two major online championship series, specifically at their $10K Main Event level.
The 2026 WCOOP ran from Sept. 6 through Sept. 30 and comprised 121 events. Its three NLHE Main Events began Sept. 27, with each surpassing its guarantee.
