Key points
  1. Horseshoe Casino Tunica hosts RunGood Poker Series from Nov. 10-15 for a 13-ring-event Golden Expedition festival.
  2. The $600 Main Event carries a $200,000 guarantee and begins with three flights on Nov. 13 and 14.
  3. A $250 PokerNews PowerStack offers a $50,000 guarantee and awards points toward the season-long standings.
  4. The top 10 PowerStack leaderboard players receive Thunder Valley packages including Dream Seat Invitational entry.

RunGood Poker Series will return to Horseshoe Casino Tunica for a six-day Golden Expedition stop from Nov. 10-15, led by a $600 Main Event carrying a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. The Mississippi festival has 13 ring events and hundreds of thousands of dollars in guarantees across its schedule.

PokerNews will provide live reporting from the Main Event, which has three starting flights across Nov. 13 and 14 before survivors return for Day 2 on Nov. 15. The schedule also offers $145 turbo satellites, awarding one Main Event seat for every five entries.

The series’ other headline tournament is a $250 PokerNews PowerStack with a $50,000 guarantee. It has two opening flights, at noon and 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, followed by a return day on Nov. 12.

Players in designated PowerStack events earn points toward the season-long leaderboard. After 10 Golden Expedition stops, Jesse Stephens and Derek Kerns were tied atop the standings on 70 points, with Shannon Lee five points back.

The top 10 leaderboard finishers each receive a Thunder Valley package that includes entry to the $300 Dream Seat Invitational. That event runs during the RunGood Dream Factory Festival at Thunder Valley Casino Resort from Nov. 27 through Dec. 3, and its winner earns a seat in the PGT Championship at PokerGO Studio in January 2027.

As covered in September, this will be RunGood’s second Horseshoe Tunica stop of the fall after the Mississippi Poker Championship ran there Sept. 15-20. Its previous March visit, under the RGPS Passport banner, drew 495 entries for the $600 Main Event and produced a $252,450 prize pool.

William Latta won that Main Event for $49,110 and an RGPS ring after defeating Kyle Cartwright heads-up. The earlier Tunica PowerStack drew 452 entries and generated a $90,400 prize pool, with Cody Stanford winning $18,067 and a ring after beating Tony Wofford heads-up.

The Nov. 10 opening day includes a $250 Seniors Ring Event, a $250 Series Opener and a $200 Tag Team Double Ring Event. Other events include a $200 Five-Card PLO tournament, a $300 Pot-Limit Omaha event, a $300 Ladies Ring Event, a $200 Turbo NLH tournament and a Flip & Go.

A $250 Big Bet Bounty on Nov. 12 pays $400 bounties once players reach the money. The final day includes a $400 Black Chip Bounty Ring Event alongside the Main Event’s Day 2.
