PokerStars Is Taking Sunday Million Live in Italy

The €1 million guaranteed event at Casino di Campione will be the tournament’s second live edition, with a hybrid path from online and live flights to an October 12 final table.

PokerStars is taking the Sunday Million back to the live felt for only the second time in the tournament’s history. The Sunday Million Live will run from October 2 to 12 at PokerStars’ poker room inside Casino di Campione in Italy, with a €1 million guarantee and a €250 buy-in.

According to Rakerace, the event is part of PokerStars’ 25th anniversary celebrations. It will also be the first live Sunday Million held in Italy, and it uses a hybrid format that lets players qualify through both online and live Day 1 flights.

Three online starting flights are scheduled for September 13, 20 and 27. Six live Day 1 flights will be held at Campione on October 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9.

The top 12.5% of each flight advance to Day 2 and lock up a minimum cash prize of €500. Players who already qualify for Day 2 cannot enter another starting flight, while those who miss can take additional shots in later flights.

Online qualifiers will travel to Campione for Day 2, which is split into Day 2A and Day 2B on October 10. Day 3 follows on October 11, and the final table is scheduled for October 12.

The only previous live Sunday Million was held in 2017 at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, where a €220 buy-in drew 5,045 entries and created an overlay of about €50,000. Since then, the Sunday Million brand has stayed exclusively online until this live return.
