Global Poker Adds PowerStreak for Jackpot Sit’n’Go Grinders
Daily leaderboards reward five-game streaks with more than SC 500 in tickets, while the underlying games stay unchanged
Global Poker has added PowerStreak, a daily leaderboard promo for its Jackpot Sit’n’Go games that rewards players for stringing together five consecutive games and posting strong results. The top scorers each day get a share of more than SC 500 in Jackpot Sit’n’Go entry tickets, split across separate low- and high-buy-in leaderboards.
According to Pokerfuse, the promotion is free to enter and all prizes are funded entirely by the operator. Global Poker also says Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for real money at a rate of 1 SC to $1 USD, which is part of the pitch for why consecutive play may be more tempting.
PowerStreak uses the best five-game run from each player, and there is no limit to how many streaks a player can attempt in a day. The streak can start at any point in a session as long as the games are played consecutively, and Global Poker automatically selects the highest-scoring five-game streak at the end of the day.
Scoring is based on points awarded for each game according to the jackpot multiplier rolled, capped at 10x for scoring purposes. A tournament win doubles the points, and playing the higher buy-ins on the High leaderboard gives players an additional scoring multiplier.
The leaderboard is split to keep things balanced. The Low leaderboard covers SC 0.25 and SC 1 Jackpot Sit’n’Go games, while the High leaderboard covers SC 5 and SC 10.
The Low side distributes SC 100 in daily prizes across the top 10 finishers, paid in SC 1 tickets. The winner gets 40 SC 1 entries.
The High side pays out SC 410 a day among its top 10 finishers, in SC 10 tickets. The winner on that board collects 15 SC 10 entries.
The new promo does not change the underlying Jackpot Sit’n’Go format itself. Those games remain three-handed, winner-takes-all hyper-turbo events, available at four buy-in levels, with the top prize still set at 200x the buy-in.
Most Jackpot Sit’n’Go games pay between 2x and 10x the buy-in, while the 200x jackpot is much rarer. The article says the odds of hitting that top prize are roughly three in every 10,000 games, and that the only exception to winner-takes-all is when the 200x jackpot lands.
In that case, first place receives 75% of the prize pool, second place gets 15%, and the first player eliminated still collects the remaining 10%. The article also says Global Poker charges a 6.1% rake on these games.
