SHRPO Event 2 Reaches 5,069 Entries and $1.66 Million Prize Pool
The $400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em event cleared its $1 million guarantee, with Dylan Ward leading deep on Day 2.
SHRPO Event 2, the $400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em tournament, drew 5,069 entries and built a $1,662,632 prize pool. The top payout is $200,272 plus the SHRPO Trophy, and the event sailed past its $1 million guarantee.
According to Seminole Hard Rock’s event updates, the field was spread across eight starting flights. The first seven flights ranged from 365 entries in Flight A to 1,089 in Flight G, with 46 to 137 advancing from each. Flight H added 946 more entries and locked the final total at 5,069.
When registration closed, 635 players had advanced to Day 2, already in the money and guaranteed at least $660. Chris Bolek led the returning field at the start of Day 2, while Zyad Qasem, Niall Costigan, Dmitri Zaitsev and Igor Tretyakov were also near the top.
The field thinned fast from there. After Level 17, with blinds at 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 ante, only 400 players were left, and the tournament had lost more than 200 players in 90 minutes.
By Level 21, the count was down to 225 and Dylan Ward had taken over the lead with 1,510,000 chips. Eldo Rodriguez followed with 1,280,000, David Kahan had 1,211,000, Jeremy Becker was over a million with 1,060,000, and Jessica Cai sat on 925,000.
Later dinner-time updates showed the tournament still moving quickly. One snapshot at Level 23 listed 122 players remaining and sent the field to a 45-minute break, while a later update on the same level showed 144 players left and TK Miles on 1,450,000.
