Kiat Lee Wins Fourth Triton Title in Jeju Mystery Bounty
He turned a bubble scare into a $619,000 score and eight bounty envelopes after beating Jamil Wakil heads-up.
Kiat Lee added a fourth Triton title in Jeju after winning the $40,000 Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold’em event, taking $619,000 and eight bounty envelopes worth a minimum of $40,000 each. The envelopes were worth at least another $320,000.
As reported in our earlier Jeju coverage, Triton was back at Les A Casino in South Korea for another stop this month. The Mystery Bounty drew 133 entries and built a $5.32 million prize pool, split evenly between a $2.66 million main pool and $2.66 million in mystery bounty prizes. Thirty-three players made Day 2 and became eligible for bounty pulls, and 23 players reached the money from the primary pool.
Around 2 p.m. on Sept. 10, Triton Poker Series said Lee was staring at elimination on the bubble and needed a double to stay alive. About nine hours later, he had finished the job against Jamil Wakil, in what the series called a move from “the brink of the bubble to the champion.”
The key swings came in a string of knockouts. Lee won a four-way all-in that sent Phil Ivey, Sam Mullur and Seth Davies out, and later eliminated David Coleman, Joe Hindry and Sirzat Hissou. He set up the official final table with more than three times as many chips as any other player left, but Alex Anton later ran up the lead before Wakil took command and carried an 89-big-blind stack into heads-up play against Lee’s 18.
Lee still found the comeback. His J♣10♣ paired the ten on the flop to beat Wakil’s A♥6♠, ending the match and leaving Wakil second for $419,000. Lee said the win felt “overwhelming” and added that he had been “pretty lucky most of the time.” They also went into heads-up with six mystery bounties apiece.
According to Card Player, the victory was worth 924 POY points, lifting Lee to 4,157 for the year and 26th in the 2026 standings. The result was Lee’s second Triton win of 2026 and his fourth Triton title overall. It was also his 18th career final table on the high-stakes tour.
