La Notte Degli Assi Sets €1 Million Guaranteed Return to Venice
The Oct. 11-19 festival at Casino di Venezia adds a €1,500 High Roller and several satellite routes.
La Notte Degli Assi will return to Venice from Oct. 11-19 with a €1 million guaranteed Main Event at Casino di Venezia, described as the world’s oldest casino. The finalized schedule begins with four discounted Day 1 flights on Oct. 11-12.
The Main Event’s Days 1A-1D cost €400, while the €600 prime flights, Days 1E-1I and a Turbo, run Oct. 14-17. Every opening flight carries a 200,000-chip starting stack and 30-minute levels, except the Saturday Turbo, which uses 15-minute levels.
Players progressing to Day 2 on Oct. 17, Day 3 on Oct. 18 and the final table on Oct. 19 will move into longer 45- and 60-minute blind levels. PokerNews said that structure is intended to leave room for deeper-stack play late in the tournament.
The €1,500 High Roller starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14. It offers a 250,000-chip stack, 35-minute levels and 12 levels of late registration, before survivors return at 3 p.m. on Oct. 15 for the final day.
The festival also includes several lower-cost routes into its bigger events. A freeroll satellite at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 guarantees 12 seats and permits optional €20 rebuys. That evening brings a €150 no-limit hold’em side event at 7 p.m. and a €180 satellite into the High Roller at 9 p.m. A €60 Mega Satellite with €40 rebuys follows at 3 p.m. on Oct. 14, guaranteeing 25 tickets.
Corriere dello Sport STADIO first reported the Venice plan in May, when it listed the event as running Oct. 12-19 at Ca’ Vendramin Calergi and said further details on the buy-ins, structure and satellites would follow. The later schedule places the casino’s current home in a 15th-century Renaissance palace on the Grand Canal, which PokerNews said once housed Venetian Doges and was composer Richard Wagner’s final residence. Casino di Venezia was founded in 1638 and relocated to the palace in the 1950s.
La Notte Degli Assi began in Cologno Monzese in 2007 and later became an itinerant series, with past stops including Campione d’Italia, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino and Parma. Its largest edition at an Italian casino drew more than 750 players at Campione in 2010.
The Venice stop stems from a collaboration between Casinò di Venezia and the event brand, according to Corriere dello Sport STADIO, which said the partners aim to re-establish Texas Hold’em tournaments in the city on a stable basis. The outlet framed the project as part of a broader Italian live-poker relaunch, with Casinò di Saint Vincent also expected to open tournament tables by October.
La Notte Degli Assi’ most recent reported edition ran at Arena Casino in Tirana, Albania, in June 2025, carrying a €2 million guarantee and a €1,150 buy-in. The Venice Main Event starts with its first four opening flights on Oct. 11.
