Mike Leah Wins Third WSOP Bracelet, Then Narrowly Misses a Same-Day Fourth
The Ontario player won the $600 Ultra Stack for $47,007 before a huge PLOSSUS pot denied him a remarkable double.
Mike Leah won his third career World Series of Poker bracelet on Sept. 28, taking down the $600 No-Limit Hold’em Ultra Stack in the WSOP Online Ontario series. The Canadian player from Innisfil, Ontario, then made a second bracelet final table only hours later in the $400 PLOSSUS Bounty, falling just short of an extraordinary same-day double.
Leah beat a 535-entry field in Event #5, which drew a $304,950 prize pool against its $300,000 guarantee. He earned $47,007, the gold bracelet and a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package, which includes entry to a Circuit Championship event and accommodation at Baha Mar in the Bahamas during December’s WSOP Paradise festival.
The two-day Ultra Stack began Sept. 27 and concluded the following day. Leah started its final table with 153 big blinds and had publicly predicted the result beforehand, posting on X that he would win bracelet No. 3 on GGPoker.
The win was Leah’s second bracelet of 2026. His first came in the 2014 WSOP Asia-Pacific $5,000 High Roller in Melbourne, where he won AU$342,800. In April, he won the €2,750 Rounder Cup at WSOP Europe in Prague, topping a field of 647 entries for €292,000. His three bracelets have come in live and online events across three continents.
The near miss came in Event #6, the six-max Pot-Limit Omaha PLOSSUS Bounty. Both Day 2s began at 6 p.m.; Leah was already at the Ultra Stack final table while PLOSSUS had 61 players left. He secured the Ultra Stack title a little more than two hours later, then reached the PLOSSUS final table about two hours after that.
Poker.org reported that Leah began the seven-handed PLOSSUS final fourth in chips, with 63 big blinds, while Alex Di Felice held the lead with 94. With five players remaining, Leah and Di Felice played a 29 million-chip pot worth almost 70% of the chips in play. Leah got the money in on the flop with close to 70% equity, but the turn gave Di Felice additional outs and the river completed the reversal.
Leah described the hand on X as being “1 card away from having ALL THE CHIPS.” He collected roughly $16,000 in prize money and bounties from PLOSSUS rather than a fourth bracelet.
The Ontario festival’s final two bracelet events are the $525 Closer Bounty on Oct. 4 and the $1 million-guaranteed Main Event, which resumes Oct. 5.
