For all fans of live tournament action, there is more good news coming from PokerStars. For the first time since 2016, the operator has announced the full schedule for the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT), and there’s a lot to look forward to.

There are seven stops planned for the second half of the year. Things will kick off with a special event during the Malta Summer Festival in late June, followed by Blackpool (July), Brighton and London (September), and Edinburgh (October).

The final stop of the 2023 UKIPT takes place in Nottingham, at the famous Dusk Till Dawn casino, and there will be £1,000,000 guaranteed to wrap things up in style.

On top of this, the UKIPT Leaderboard will keep track of all the results, rewarding the most consistent and successful players across all seven events. The winner will receive a 2024 UKIPT package worth £15,000.

If you’d like to join the fun, PokerStars will run online satellites for each stop, aiming to send 60 — 80 online qualifiers to every event. Register for your account today and keep an eye out on the tournament lobby, as we expect the first qualifiers to be live shortly.

The next generation of poker players is sure to be even more talented as they continue to hone their skills online. To celebrate 10 years of WSOP’s free-to-play social poker app, a Thrill Team has been created, headed by Patrik Antonius.

In addition to Antonius, Thrill Team members include:

• Vanessa Selbst, former PokerStars ambassador and only woman ever to reach the number one ranking on the Global Poker Index
• Espen Jorstad, 2022 WSOP Main Event winner
• Landon Tice, ambassador of offshore US-facing Ignition Casino
• Samantha Abernathy, former 888poker team ambassador
• Adam Hendrix, currently ranked in the top five on the Global Poker Index
• Ethan Yau, WSOP gold bracelet winner.

As part of the app’s ten-year celebrations, the seven-member team will be featured prominently on television and in an online campaign throughout the 2023 World Series of Poker.
