ACR Poker Adds Progressive Mystery Bounties in Oct. 1 Client Update

The multi-day format holds back bounties until Day 2, while the release also expands SPINZ staking and mobile-table coverage.

ACR Poker’s Oct. 1 client update introduced Progressive Mystery Bounty tournaments, combining mystery-prize knockouts with progressive bounty mechanics in a multi-day format. The release also widened SPINZ staking-ticket support, gave players separate PG and R-rated emoji settings, and brought its refreshed mobile table design to more games.

According to ACR Poker’s software-update page, bounty action is locked during every Day 1 flight of a Progressive Mystery Bounty event. After all flights finish, the bounty pool is randomly distributed among the surviving Day 2 entries.

Once Day 2 eliminations begin, the player scoring a knockout receives half of the eliminated player’s bounty immediately. The other half is added to that player’s own bounty, creating the progressive element. A mystery-bounty animation reveals the award, and players can find the tournaments using the Mystery Bounty lobby category, with each event lobby showing its schedule, buy-in and structure.

The structure follows the broader mystery-bounty convention of delaying bounties until a later stage of a multi-day tournament. PokerNews notes that the first Mystery Bounty event was held at the 2021 Wynn Fall Classic, and the format has since been used by the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour and World Poker Tour.

The update also split Emoji Gallery reactions into Mild (PG) and Wild® collections. Wild adds more aggressive reactions and throwables, while Mild retains the existing presentation. The setting is local to each player’s client, meaning the same reaction can display differently depending on a player’s chosen rating. Players can also turn emojis off under Settings, Playing Experience and Gameplay.

Staking Tickets now work across all seven SPINZ buy-in levels, from 25 cents through $100. An eligible backer selects a ticket and buy-in level, sets the staking percentage and sends an offer that expires after 30 days by default; any payout is divided according to the agreed percentage. The feature remains in beta, with ticket purchasing and sending limited to selected users, although anyone can receive a ticket.

On mobile, the table layout previously used for SPINZ now covers cash games, Blitz, tournaments, Sit & Go’s, On Demand games and multi-day tournaments. The release also added an overlay group in the lobby for selected events where current entries may not cover the advertised guarantee, plus revised promotional badges including an American-flag marker replacing the previous Free banner.

Finally, the client corrected display issues in certain multi-player all-in hand histories and a prize-pool calculation problem in some guaranteed multi-day tournaments with overlays. In three-or-more-player all-ins, hand histories now place folded players’ dead money in the proper side-pot line and show the correct uncalled-bet amount, without changing the underlying pot calculations. The prize-pool issue could cause flight prize pools to be counted twice.
