Octopi Poker Adds Beginner Solver Course and Weekly Pro Study Sessions
The October update also brings Sam Greenwood’s Punt of the Day and lifts Pro pricing to $75 a month.
Octopi Poker has added a beginner solver course, weekly live study sessions and a new Sam Greenwood column to its Professional tier, while raising Pro membership to $75 a month or $750 a year from Oct. 1. The previous Pro price was $65 monthly or $600 annually.
The October update is aimed at making the platform easier to use for players at different stages of their study. Pokerfuse reported that My First Solver was developed by Octopi CEO Victoria Livschitz and tournament player and coach Matt Hunt for members new to game theory optimal strategy and solvers. It is designed both as an introduction to solver study and to Octopi’s own tools.
My First Solver is available as a standalone purchase and comes with annual Personal and Pro subscriptions. Personal membership costs $25 per month or $200 per year.
The new Guided Study feature gives every Professional member one exclusive live Matt Hunt lecture each week. The sessions focus on tournament-poker concepts, themes selected for the month and recurring mistakes Hunt sees players make. Recordings will be available to members who cannot attend live.
Octopi also offers a self-paced guided MTT program with no scheduled live sessions. The $90 program provides 90 days of Professional access alongside three courses and 90 lessons covering subjects from tournament foundations and preflop play to river decisions and final-table ICM.
Professional members will also receive Punt of the Day weekly, an Octopi-exclusive Sam Greenwood column built around real tournament decisions and Greenwood’s approach to them.
As covered in July, Octopi had already reworked Thomas Boivin’s Beyond the Solver into a self-paced course, and My First Solver adds another instructional entry point alongside it. The platform’s broader Professional access includes its trainer, The Vault hand database, Octopi Academy, Leak Analytics and more than 2,000 preflop and postflop ICM simulations.
Octopi is still developing a Mentorship program, planned at $300 per month, that would pair a personalized improvement plan with access to a private poker mentor.
