BetRivers Poker Brings Back Multi-State Summer Series

The August series spans four states, 96 events and more than $450,000 in guarantees, with a $200 Main Event on Aug. 16.

BetRivers Poker is bringing back its Multi-State Summer Series from Aug. 2 to 16. The online event set will cover Michigan, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia, with 96 championship events and more than $450,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

PokerNews reported that players will be able to buy in directly or qualify through daily satellites. The schedule mixes deepstack tournaments, progressive knockouts, six-max events, hyper turbos and PLO, along with marquee weekend majors.

The Main Event is set for Sunday, Aug. 16. It carries a $200 buy-in and a $35,000 guarantee.

PokerNews also said the series will hand out leaderboard prizes worth more than $10,000 across Gold and Silver boards. Points are earned by cashing in events, and only a player’s best five results count, so missing a stop does not end a run at the standings.

Top 20 finishers on the Gold Leaderboard and top 25 on the Silver Leaderboard will receive tournament ticket prizes. Pokerfuse later broke the boards out as $8,500 for Gold and $1,500 for Silver, with the Gold side tied to the higher buy-in bracket and the Silver side to the lower one.

That same report said BetRivers is not restricting players to just one leaderboard, so grinders can chase both sets of prizes if they want. It also listed the Gold payouts at $1,400 for first and $150 for 20th, while the Silver board pays $400 to the winner and $10 to 25th.

In the run-up to the series, BetRivers is also running the Road to Multi-State Summer Series promotion from July 19 to Aug. 1. Pokerfuse said it awards 600 tournament tickets worth $10,000 in weekly draws, with entries tied to regular MTT play and added to accounts within 96 hours. The promotion ends Aug. 1, just before the series opens.
