Stake Poker has signed Colombian professional Farid Jattin as its first dedicated poker ambassador, giving the operator a prominent live-tournament player to represent both its US sweepstakes site and international real-money poker operation.

Jean-Christophe Antoine, who leads Stake’s poker vertical, announced the appointment on LinkedIn. He called it another milestone following Stake Poker’s Mexico launch a couple of months earlier and wrote: “Step by step Stake Poker is getting there… Welcome to the Team, Farid Jattin!”

Jattin brings more than $10 million in recorded live tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob. His largest recorded cash came with a seventh-place finish in the inaugural PokerStars Players Championship in the Bahamas in 2019, and he won the $25,000-buy-in Challenge at the 2020 Aussie Millions.

He also won the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship in a four-way deal, earning $655,000. That title was his third major trophy at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood over the preceding two years.

The deal puts a professional poker player on a Stake ambassador roster that had previously featured celebrity names, including UFC champion Alex Pereira, who has promoted the poker product. Jattin previously became an ambassador for crypto-poker platform Phenom Poker in 2024.

Stake launched poker in mid-2024 on both Stake.US, its sweepstakes platform, and its international real-money site. Its browser-based software was developed in-house and sits within the wider online casino. The platform offers cash games and tournaments alongside formats including All-In or Fold, fast-fold poker branded Next!, bomb pots and mystery bounty tournaments, plus Run It Twice, straddles and rabbit hunting.

The company recently increased the guaranteed prize pool for its flagship Stake Showdown from $125,000 to $200,000. Tracking data cited by Pokerfuse put Stake’s international network at about 8,800 daily multi-table tournament entries and roughly 250 occupied cash-game seats. Stake.US recorded more than 6,000 daily tournament entries and about 210 occupied cash-game seats.

That US sweepstakes figure trailed Global Poker’s roughly 12,000 daily tournament entries and Clubs Poker’s approximately 7,200 in the same tracking data. Stake.US is available in more than 30 states, including Texas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado and North Carolina, although the appointment announcement did not specify particular products Jattin will promote or state-by-state availability.

Stake holds a license in Jattin’s home country of Colombia but does not currently offer online poker there. It also obtained a Mexico license in May and is among the relatively small number of platforms offering legal online poker in that market. Stake.US is set to leave Oklahoma on Oct. 30.
