Wang Ye Wins First Triton Title in Jeju Turbo Finale
The $256,000 victory closed the 14-event Jeju II series after Wang beat Kiat Lee heads-up.
Wang Ye won the final tournament of Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju II, taking down the $30,000 no-limit hold’em turbo for $256,000 and his first Triton title. He outlasted a 23-entry field in the event, which created a $690,000 prize pool and paid only five places.
Card Player reported that Wang entered heads-up play with better than a 2:1 chip lead over Kiat Lee, then sealed the win when his J♠7♣ made sevens full of jacks on a J♣10♠7♠9♦7♥ board. Lee had made a straight with 8♠4♣, but it was not enough to beat the full house. He earned $176,000 as runner-up.
As we reported earlier this month, Lee had already won the Jeju $40,000 mystery bounty for $619,000 and eight bounty envelopes, his fourth Triton title.
Matthias Eibinger finished third for $112,000 after his K♥10♥ failed to overtake Wang’s A♣3♣. Punnat Punsri eliminated Benjamin Tollerene in fifth, then Wang knocked out Punsri before the heads-up match. Punsri earned $81,000 for his third top-four finish of the festival, while Tollerene earned $65,000.
The win was Wang’s 20th Triton cash. He now has more than $13.7 million in career tournament earnings, including more than $11.8 million from Triton events. It was also his second title and seventh final-table finish of 2026.
Wang collected 252 Card Player Player of the Year points, bringing him to 3,200 and just outside the top 50 in the CoinPoker-sponsored standings. Punsri moved into first place after his 25th final table of the year, having accumulated four titles and 7,624 points. Lee rose to 4,741 points and 21st, while Eibinger reached 32nd and Tollerene 40th.
The turbo closed a 14-event Jeju II schedule that awarded about $103.2 million in prize money across 1,752 entries. Its largest event was the $200,000 Triton Invitational, which drew 176 entries, built a $34.6 million prize pool and was won by Joao Simao for more than $7.2 million.
