Paddy Power Poker Opens €7.50 Route to Malta Packages
The promotion splits into €70 seat-only satellites and €100 package qualifiers.
Paddy Power Poker is running around-the-clock feeder satellites for The Festival in Malta, with entry starting from €7.50 and a path into €1,850 packages.
PokerNews says the promotion splits into two main satellite tracks. €70 buy-ins award €550 seats only, while €100 buy-ins award the €1,850 package.
The €100 path feeds into The Festival Malta 5x€1,850|D1. Players start with 10,000 chips, play 10-minute levels, begin at 50/100/10a and keep going until the end of Level 16.
Players can enter as many Day 1s as their bankroll allows. If they qualify more than once, only the biggest stack carries through to Day 2.
The next Day 2 starts at 8:30 p.m. on August 9, with another on August 16. On Day 2, the top five finishers are guaranteed an €1,850 package, and extra packages are added for every €1,850 above the €9,250 guarantee.
The Festival’s qualification page lists an €1,850 The Festival Package for iPoker Network campaigns and names Paddypower Poker among the partners. It says many online satellites award full packages that can include the tournament buy-in, hotel accommodation, merchandise and a hospitality experience, and that the city tax is not included. The same page says tickets must be used for the Main Event, and leftover pre-qualifier Main Event tickets can be converted into credits for other events once a player reaches Day 2/ITM.
A year earlier, the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event drew 666 entrants and built a €316,550 prize pool. Portugal’s Nuno Morais won it in St. Julian’s for €61,001.
The Malta stop runs September 11-20 and features two €550 Main Events. One is a traditional No-Limit Hold’em tournament and the other is T.O.R.S.E.S., a mixed game that runs September 13-15 and includes 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo and Sviten Special.
