CoinPoker GOPC Reaches 89% of $50 Million Guarantee After Three Weeks
The series awarded $44.52 million in its first 22 days and passed 1 million total entries during the Sept. 7-13 stretch.
CoinPoker’s Global Online Poker Championship had awarded $44.52 million after its first 22 days, reaching 89% of the online series’ $50 million guarantee. The festival passed 1 million total entries during the Sept. 7-13 period, its third week of play.
Card Player reported that the week generated $14.41 million in combined prize pools across 1,166 tournaments. It drew 381,071 entries from 25,753 players. This follows our Aug. 5 report that CoinPoker launched the six-week, $50 million-guaranteed festival with separate regional schedules and buy-in levels.
Guarantees were beaten in 384 of 434 events tracked for the week. Those events produced $2.11 million above the $11.74 million initially guaranteed, indicating that most of the week’s reported events outperformed their advertised prize pools.
Several of the week’s larger tournaments cleared their targets. The $125 Big Weekender Final attracted 4,621 entries and built a $531,415 prize pool, with “ChampagneLove” taking $73,033. The $55 Weekender Final paid $250,015, including a $31,980 top prize for “drupswing7.”
The Sept. 13 CoinMillion drew 5,321 entries, and “FINALVERDICT7” won $123,979 after starting Day 2 in 10th place. CoinPoker also ran two $5,200 high rollers: partner Mario Mosböck won the 57-entry Gold Standard event for $87,780, while BevyOfBlank won the PLO Freestyle High Roller for $72,440.
The GOPC is scheduled to run through Sept. 28. CoinPoker’s tournament page lists a $25,500 Super High Roller Championship with a $1 million guarantee for Sept. 22, while the $530 Main Event carries the series’ largest guarantee at $3 million and concludes on Sept. 28.
