The Eagle Cup is back at Global Poker for a 5th time, and the Sweeps Coin prizes are bigger than ever.

Global Poker is running a massive series right now, as the Eagle Cup returns for the 5th time. There are more than 1.5 million Sweeps Coins (SC) guaranteed up for grabs across 102 trophy events.

Games for the Eagle Cup V are already underway on the client, with the first action in the series running on October 25. However, there is plenty of action left, as games in the Cup are running through Nov 14. The series comes to an end with a huge Main Event with SC200,000 guaranteed.

This latest edition of the Eagle Cup is more than triple the size of the first one and has an extra SC300,000 guaranteed over the last time the Cup ran. Further, the Main Event is less than half the cost with double the guarantee versus the last series.

Global Poker runs a “sweepstakes” model for online poker, which is free to play. The SC games, however, offer Sweeps Coins as prizes, which are redeemable for cash (see our full guide for more details).

In addition to the main Eagle Cup V series for SC, there is also a play-money Gold Coin series. Gold Coins aren’t redeemable for real money, but there are GC750 million of them guaranteed in the fun side-series.

Players will be playing for more than just the individual prizes, however. There will also be leaderboards for both series and Global Poker swag for players through the series.
