ACR Poker’s third Dual Venom starting flights on Oct. 11 sent 63 no-limit hold’em players and 17 pot-limit Omaha players to Day 2, with herramusta and Pepareg1 leading their respective flights’ bounty totals.

Herramusta collected about $10,200 in NLH bounties in a flight that drew 496 entries. Pepareg1 led the PLO bounty race with about $9,200 as 142 entries produced 17 qualifiers. The bounty totals are separate from the regular prizes paid by finishing position.

As reported Oct. 4, the $6.5 million Dual Venom PKO series began with Day 1A leaders Atheist30 in NLH and BooooomHeadsot in PLO. The current edition consists of a $5 million guaranteed NLH event and a $1.5 million guaranteed PLO event, with a $2,650 direct buy-in for each remaining starting flight.

The progressive-knockout format pays half of a knocked-out player’s bounty directly to the player making the elimination. The other half is added to that player’s own bounty, meaning bounty earnings can build even before a player reaches the money through finishing position.

One PLO player illustrated that distinction on Day 1C. Yenomez69 recorded about $8,400 in bounties but finished 32nd, outside the 17 players who qualified from the flight.

Across the first three flights, the NLH event had drawn 1,205 entries and qualified 175 players. owens9397 held the overall NLH chip lead at 336.99 big blinds. The PLO event stood at 359 entries and 42 qualifiers, led by LawyerDad68 with 458.61 big blinds.

Both tournaments have Day 1D on Oct. 15 and Day 1E on Oct. 18, beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET. Day 2 is set for Oct. 19; the NLH tournament is then scheduled for a Day 3 on Oct. 20, while the PLO event has no Day 3. Both final tables are scheduled for Oct. 21 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
