ACR Poker Adds Ladies Online Championship to Dual Venom Opening Sunday
The $215 women-only event brings a $25,000 guarantee and two same-day satellites to the Oct. 4 schedule.
ACR Poker will put its $215 Ladies Online Championship alongside the opening flights of its $6.5 million Dual Venom PKOs on Sunday, Oct. 4. The women-only tournament starts at 2:05 p.m. ET, carries a $25,000 guarantee and awards its winner a championship trophy.
The day begins with two satellites for the Ladies Championship. A $22 Turbo at 11:05 a.m. ET guarantees five seats, followed by a $21 Hyper at 12:30 p.m. ET that guarantees five more, according to a WebWire release.
PokerListings separately described the event as open only to verified women. It said men found playing will have winnings confiscated and will not receive their buy-ins back. The outlet also reported that the winner’s physical trophy will be sent by mail.
There is a timing inconsistency in the satellite information. WebWire lists one ladies satellite at 11:05 a.m. ET and another at 12:30 p.m. ET, while PokerListings says two special satellites start at 12:30 p.m. ET. PokerListings says regular satellite qualification remains available through Oct. 4.
The Ladies event shares the card with the first Day 1 flights of the $5 million No-Limit Hold’em Venom PKO and $1.5 million Pot-Limit Omaha Venom PKO. Both begin at 1:05 p.m. ET and cost $2,650 to enter directly. In the progressive-knockout format, half of a knocked-out player’s bounty is paid immediately to the eliminator, while the other half is added to that player’s bounty.
Each Venom has five starting flights, continuing Oct. 8, 11, 15 and 18. Players who qualify in more than one flight can combine their stacks before Day 2 on Oct. 19. The NLH tournament then plays a Day 3 on Oct. 20, while PLO moves from Day 2 directly to its final table. Both final tables are set for Oct. 21 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Venom Fever qualification runs through Oct. 18, including Mega Satellite paths starting at $0 and Survivor Flips Step Satellites from 80 cents. Last year’s two Venoms generated about $7.85 million in combined prize pools, above their guarantees.
