BADGERING Wins ACR Poker’s OSS XL Opener
The $630 High Roller drew 1,118 entries and built a $670,800 prize pool on the first day of the 24-day series.
ACR Poker’s OSS XL series opened on Sept. 6 with BADGERING taking the first headline score. BADGERING won OSS XL #13, a $630 High Roller, for $130,209.51 after the tournament drew 1,118 entries and built a $670,800 prize pool.
According to the opening recap, the event cleared its $600,000 guarantee. As reported in late August, OSS XL was built as a 336-event schedule with more than $50 million in guarantees.
The opening day card was not limited to that one result. WebWire’s recap said the slate also featured four multi-flights combining for $2.225 million guaranteed, 10 Nosebleed Stakes tournaments, and more than $60,000 in added leaderboard cash and tournament tickets.
Another notable opener was OSS XL #16, the $2,650 event, which finished above its guarantee. It drew 203 entries, paid out $507,500, and ended in a final-table deal that gave NewYorkMidgets $95,311.68 for first, KevinParCoeur $93,874.52 for second, and Olivander1 $87,459.25.
Other opening-day scores included WilliamRed’s $109 Moneymaker win for $62,933.20 from 3,373 entries, lukewarmwater’s Sunday Splash victory for $10,952.96 from 4,752 entries, COTTAGECORE’s $100,000 GTD 6-Max Mystery Bounty title for $32,269.70 with bounties included, and peyton_manning’s $50,000 GTD PLO 6-Max PKO win for $16,679 across the prize and bounty components.
