Short-Stacked Shamus Reveals Details On New Book

Although the announcement came on April Fools Day, we are pretty sure this is legit—Short-Stacked Shamus from Hard Boiled Poker is releasing a new book.

The book called Poker & Pop Culture: Telling the Story of America’s Favorite Card Game is slated to arrive in 2019 and will “highlight poker being frequently evoked in politics, business, economics, warfare and diplomacy, business, economics, sports, and other “non-poker” contexts, with all of those references furthering the argument for poker’s importance to U.S. history and culture.”

Congrats Shamus!

Congratulations has also come in from New York Times Best Selling author Maria Konnikova, who recently finished her year long immersion in the high stakes world of professional poker, apprenticed to one of games greatest and most reclusive champions, Erik Seidel.

Daniel Negreanu Finally Blocks Doug Polk on Twitter

Just before the Easter break another rake argument broke out between Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk. The pair can never seem to understand each other’s points and after much back forth it resulted in Negreanu finally blocking Polk on the social media platform.

Of course Polk wasted no time to creating a video on the matter.

And here we were thinking Polk had moved on from all the negativity.

ICYMI: Joey Ingram Hangs up on Alec Torelli

Joey Ingram —who usually sits on the fence of most spats— ended up hanging up on Alec Torelli in a recent Live at the Bike podcast— ultimately branding Torelli as dishonest.

Torelli has beef with Ingram’s mate Doug Polk about videos Polk created on Torelli allegedly angle shooting on Poker Night in America and it seems Ingram couldn’t stay impartial.

It seems as if Torelli defending himself against angle shooting allegations was enough for Ingram to lose his cool and end the call.

Unfortunately you can only catch up on the podcast if you have a subscription to Live at the Bike. However, it didn’t take long for Polk to release a video slating Torelli some more.
