BetMGM Poker Brings Cheap Stakes Series to US Markets

BetMGM Poker gives poker players a discount series during the holiday season, with more than $100,000 guaranteed in each state.

If you play online poker at BetMGM Poker in the USA, there’s a holiday treat in store for you this year—the Cheap Stakes Tournament Series running from Dec 17 through Dec 26. The series is running on BetMGM PA, BetMGM MI, and BetMGM NJ, as well as all the sister skins on the partypoker US Network.

While each state has an individual player pool, there is more than $100,000 guaranteed no matter where you are. With an average buy-in of $35, that’s a lot of value for smaller buy-ins.

Unlike the recent End Boss series, the Cheap Stakes series is aimed more at the casual or recreational player with more affordable buy-ins. Each game costs either $20 or $50 to get into, with guarantees as high as $20,000.

Action in the Cheap Stakes Tournament Series kicks off Dec 17 with $12,500 guaranteed across two events, and there are two games running every day through Dec 26, including Christmas Day. Get all the details about the series from our breakdown over on pokerfuse.

Triton High Stakes Poker Tour Back with New Bali Location

The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series 2022 returns for the first time in 2.5 years with exotic new Bali location.

Nosebleed poker is back on the live scene with the return of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series after a hiatus of more than two years.

The latest announcement from the ultra-high stakes tour was profiled on Poker Industry PRO recently, with details about the exotic new location in Bali.

In February of 2022, the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series will be back with 11 events in a brand new, exotic location in Bali, Indonesia.

Beginning Feb 17 at Bali International Convention Centre, it marks the first time the nosebleed Triton Poker series has run since August of 2019.

The last time Triton Poker put on one of their posh poker parties was in London in 2019.

That series included a $1,050,000 buy-in event with $50,000 per entry going straight to charity, and the upcoming Bali series will also feature a game in Triton’s A Helping Hand Charity series — where part of the tournament fee from each player will be donated to charities.

It’s no surprise that players who want to get in on the fun in Bali will have to dig deep. The “micro-stakes” game for the series will cost $30,000 to buy in, while the biggest games are the two Main Events at $200,000 each.

Check out the full schedule and details on Triton Poker’s webpage and get ready for the first Triton Poker high-stakes tournament action in 2.5 years.

PokerStars Beta-Tests Webcam Home Games

The new webcam feature from PokerStars is aimed at the Home Game market for now, but possibilities are endless.

Without much fanfare, PokerStars has released its latest poker innovation— webcams and live chat at the poker tables.

Currently in beta, the new feature is aimed at Home Games but is currently only available on the web client for PokerStars.

Assuming the beta-test goes well, plans are to roll the feature out to desktop and mobile clients in early 2022, but for now, Home Game patrons on the web client in the dot-com and EU jurisdictions can play with friends complete with live video chat at the tables.

Players can mute themselves or other players, and also turn off cameras for themselves or others, so there’s no worry about privacy.

The feature makes use of front-facing cameras and microphones ubiquitous on devices and computers today, and players retain control of those devices while in play.

For now, the new feature is limited to Home Games and only available on the web client.

Once the beta is complete, however, all possibilities are open. Public cash games and tournaments could be created specifically for webcams, adding a new dimension to online poker.
