GucciNIKE Takes Marquee Pot in Kayhan Mokri PLO5 Battle
Several six-figure pots changed hands at CoinPoker, but Giselle54 led the week’s tracked PLO profits.
Kayhan Mokri and GucciNIKE traded several six-figure pots in CoinPoker’s biggest PLO5 action of the week, with GucciNIKE taking the session’s marquee hand. Card Player’s Oct. 7 weekly roundup identified the Mokri-GucciNIKE battle as the week’s biggest action, and the high-stakes cash games reached $500/$1,000 during the period covered.
GucciNIKE won the previous week’s largest reported CoinPoker cash-game pot, a roughly $548,000 heads-up $500/$1,000 PLO5 hand against sammyjazzykins. As we reported last week, GucciNIKE scooped that pot after the board was run twice, overcoming sammyjazzykins’ 65.45% equity when the money went in.
The new result did not make GucciNIKE the week’s biggest tracked winner. Giselle54 posted more than $2 million in tracked PLO-table profits, while GucciNIKE narrowly missed a second straight week of seven-figure profits.
The cash-game action ran alongside CoinPoker’s tournament The One, which guaranteed $1 million to its eventual champion and drew much of the online poker world’s attention. The roundup also highlighted a $338,312 no-limit hold’em pot in which Daniiiiiil beat PandasAreCool after turning a set.
CoinPoker’s biggest no-limit games use antes, which increase the starting pot and encourage looser, more aggressive play. In solver examples, the big blind folded 42% of the time against a button open in an ante game, compared with 56% in a standard cash game, while its raising frequency rose from 11% to 15%.
