Crown Melbourne Sets Victorian Poker Championship for Oct. 12-27
The 16-day festival is led by a $2,500 Main Event with four starting flights and includes high rollers, Omaha and mixed games.
Crown Melbourne will host the Victorian Poker Championship from Oct. 12-27, with a $2,500 Main Event, high rollers and a broader spread of mixed-game tournaments on the 16-day schedule.
The Main Event has four Day 1 flights, running Oct. 21-24. Entrants receive 60,000 chips, play 40-minute levels initially before they increase to 60 minutes, and may re-enter once. Day 2 begins Oct. 25, with the final table set to be reached Oct. 27.
Crown describes the returning festival as an expanded schedule with diverse formats. Alongside $5,000 and $10,000 high-roller events, the card includes Mystery Bounty, H.O.R.S.E., 8-Game, 2-7 Triple Draw and PLO Hi-Lo tournaments.
There are also two dedicated Pot-Limit Omaha events, including a $5,000 tournament and a separate marquee event. That range gives mixed-game and Omaha players additional options.
Daily satellites start at $240, while regular $300 satellites will run throughout the festival. Players can qualify for the Main Event, $5K Challenge, Mystery Bounty, H.O.R.S.E., PLO and other events. Crown’s satellite schedule and poker calendar are live, and registrations are open at the Poker Room on Level 1 of the casino.

Crown is also offering hotel rates for stays from Sept. 30 through Oct. 27. The casino had gone more than four years without a major poker series before announcing its Crown Poker Series for April, after larger tournament festivals were mothballed in March 2020. Cash games returned in late 2021 and smaller daily tournaments followed in 2022, while the Aussie Millions remained on hold.
